Christmas cards and projects
Our Christmas Open House was a success. Beautiful Christmas cards were exchanged.
I found this adorable triangle Santa on Facebook. The fall banner I had posted had to go so I created this simple JOY banner. I'm going to be working on a Winter banner.
The Card group is scheduled to meet on Sunday January 13th at 1:00pm. We will be working with the Avonlea paper and the monogram stamp. We will make 5 cards and 1 pillow gift box.
The Scrapbook group meets Sunday January 27th at 1:00. We will also be working with the Avonlea paper pack and focusing on a family theme.
If you are interested in joining us, please call or email me as you will need to pre cut your paper before the card group. pams334@gmail.com or 503-917-1672
We are always looking for new members!

December Open House
Saturday December 1st at 1PM will be an open house for my CTMH groups. We will sample appetizers and beverages while making a few Christmas decorations/ornaments. The card group will be exchanging Christmas cards. I will also have a CTMH goodie bag for members.
Please contact me if you are interested in meeting group members and joining a group.
We have a scrapbook group and a card group. Each group meets once a month in
Dallas at my house. We are always looking for new members.
This month (November) we have the scrap group meeting on the 18th at 1PM. We are using the Flirty paper pack and a fall/Thanksgiving theme. A couple of members are interested in putting together a "fall" banner during this time. I will post a photo of the scrapbook pages once completed.

Thanksgiving Cards
There will be several choices for the November 4th group to work on. There's the decorated box, banner and these cards. I'm sure we won't have the time to complete it all. This way folks can choose what the wish to work on.
We will also be discussing the Christmas Card exchange and selecting an exchange date in December. I will have light snacks for the exchange day. Participants will make the number of participants plus one for their collection. The only requirement is using the Pear and Partridge paper. I have many Christmas stamps they can borrow. I am also available to help with design or folks can pick a card design from the earlier swap I participated in.
We have not set a date for the scrapbook gathering in November.
Below are the Thanksgiving cards folks can make from their "flirty" paper packet.

November Gathering
October's card gathering introduced the triple stamp technique. We also used the cuttlebug to create a brick wall for the mummy card. The group tested out the new alcohol markers with most members liking them. The last project was the Cricut Artiste 3D coffin project. Most opted to leave the inside of the coffin empty for future candy placement.
November's card gathering is scheduled for Sunday November 4th at 1PM. Note: This is also the first day of the Daylight Savings time change. Prior to this date if you plan to attend, you will need to purchase the Flirty Paper Pack. You can order this from the CTMH Website link which is on the right hand side of this blog or you can order Saturday at the scrap gathering.
The October scrap gathering is scheduled for this Saturday at 1PM. Be sure to bring your paper cutter, paper pack, adhesive and scissors. This gathering will be small and should move quickly. We will be cutting some simple shapes from the Artiste cartridge/Cricut machine.
November's paper will be the 'Flirty Paper Pack". The basic paper pack costs $9.95. The projects will include the Cricut Artiste 3D Fall bag. This project will introduce the group to the heat embossing technique on the leaves which embellish the bag. In addition we are going to decorate a "My Acrylix Organizer" box where cards can be stored and given as a Christmas gift. A small garland spelling "FALL" will be made from the flirty paper. This project will utilize rosettes as a backdrop for the letters. If there is time and an interest a Thanksgiving card can be made.

More October Card group projects
This week I had fun working with the Artiste Cartridge and the coffin 3D box. It's so easy and fun to "creep it out". A caramel eyeball would fit nicely in the bottom of the coffin.
CTMH has new alcohol markers. They are juicy and forgiving. I'm not much of a marker person because they usually streak but these did not streak! The September stamp of the month was an adorable scarecrow. He was quick and fun to bring life to with the new markers.
Tomorrow is our card gathering. We are working on cards from the Dakota paper pack. Don't forget to bring your adhesive, scissors and paper cutters.
In the spirit of fall, I felt the urge to bake. Will will be having apple pecan cake and pumpkin bars. As always coffee, tea, cider, cocoa, diet pop and ice water will be available.
See you tomorrow!

New Card Technique
Today I watched several YouTube videos on "Triple Stamp Cards". It's really a fun and easy technique. The results are beautiful.
I'm going to let the ladies in the card club select which example they want to make in our class in October.

Halloween Creative Fun
Today was a perfect day blending creativity and Halloween. I have been in 7th heaven. I just spent the day putting together the scrap pages for the October gathering. The scrap date is
Saturday October 20th at 1 PM. Our scrap group purchases a monthly paper pack for $9.95.
I provide the layout directions and additional Cricut items. October's Cricut Cartridge was Mini Monsters. Can't get enough of the colored googly eyes. The tree and bats are from a Cuttlebug
die. The paper is from Close to My Heart and called "Moonlight". The CTMH Stamp sets used are "Creepy Creatures and the set from the Workshop on the Go "Moonlight" kit.
If you are interested in joining us please send me an email: pams334@gmail.com or call me at 503-917-1672. I will need at least a week to order your paper pack and have it delivered before the gathering.
Tomorrow I'm going to work on the cards for our October Card Gathering. Along with the cards we will work on one or two containers from the CTMH/Cricut "Artiste" cartridge.

Camping Options for this Saturday's Scrap
Hi gals,
Here are a couple of pages I worked on over the weekend to include the theme "camping" for our travel themed gathering. Some of you indicated a desire to use camping photo's for your travel pages.
Looking forward to our gathering!

Scrapbook Gathering 08.18.12
The theme for this gathering is travel. Please bring 4-5 photos, your tape runner and paper cutter. I've put together some Cricut die cuts: planes, cars, cars and trailers, RV's, tents, cruise ships, suitcases, gas pumps and globe maps. If you need something special for your pages, please let me know and I'll put together some die cuts. It's looking like we might have a fairly large gathering.
Remember for this gathering it's $5 unless you purchase the paper pack "Dakota" @ $9.95
for our next gathering in September which will be themed "pets".
Below are examples of what you can put together at the scrapbook gathering. If you are reading this blog and are interested in learning to scrapbook, you are in the right place. Send an email to: pams334@gmail.com and I'll fill you in on the gathering details.
